Kicking off the 2nd leg of his U.S. tour, The Runaway Tour, earlier this month, Post Malone rejoins Swae Lee (of Rae Sremmurd) and Tyla Yaweh, for a sold out show in Newark, NJ on February 18th, 2020.

Tyla Yaweh hit the stage promptly at 8pm to set the mood for the fans, performing several songs off Heart Full Of Rage, including singles "I Think I Luv Her" featuring YG and his new remix to "High Right Now" ft. Wiz Khalifa. He received a customized JuiceWrld jacket from a fan in the crowd during his heartfelt tribute to the late rapper, where he also paid homage to Florida Rager and friend, XXXTentacion. Tyla managed to woo the crowd with his rage and ran all around the arena to get closer to his fans, posing for selfies during his set.

Around 8:35pm, the crowd is about anxious as they await for Posty's arrival, but not before Swae Lee brings out the roses, serenading the crowd with new tunes and of course some top charting hits. He performed several infamous features like French Montana's "Unforgettable" and Metro Boomin's "Borrowed Love", then switched it up for the original Sremm fans. The venue was Swangin as he played hit after hit, "Throw Some Mo", "No Type", "Black Beatles" and fan favorite "Powerglide". What caught my attention the most was in the middle of his set, when he picks a fan to come onstage to rage with him. As all the lights turn red and he asks the crowd to put a light up, everyone now aluminated by their phones, he plays a huge bass booming track that is now his first solo single called "Someone Said" and it reached volumes. Definitely a track that will take the club by storm when finally released. Being that this wasn’t my first time seeing him perform solo, personally it was his best. He sung live with hardly any background vocals and it truly shows the talent Swae has with his voice, one that many can debate with.

Finally, the arena fades to black and a row of lights emerge, it’s showtime. The Hollywoods Bleeding star performed all of his top charting hits, including some classic ballads off his albums, packed with pyro, fireworks and several different camera views on the mega screen behind him. Post Malone mentioned he was having a hard time with his vocals lately being under the weather but the thousands of fans would help him through out the night as they sang word for word every song. Lucky for Newark, he brought out label mate, Tyga, as a surprise guest and the night was full of good vibes, some fist pumps and of course, some Budweiser (lol).

Check out some of the shots I captured from the show below and be sure to hit the Run Away Tour when it comes to your town, one last time! It’s a hell of a show, made for the whole family to enjoy.
